Our next stop for the “A River of People” initiative was the Seman River Basin, specifically along the Seman River in the municipality of Fier.
During our field visit, we identified fewer illegal waste dumping sites compared to the three other river basins we have explored so far.
This shows that while challenges remain, there are also signs of progress — and opportunities to protect these vital waterways with collective effort.
The health of our rivers reflects the health of our communities.
Through “A River of People”, RESU aims to raise awareness, document issues, and inspire action to protect Albania’s rivers from pollution.
And this is just the beginning.
