About RESU

We are RESU, a community-driven, youth-led organization from Albania, committed to lighting a spark of hope and action in our homeland—and beyond. We believe that Albania, with its rich traditions and resilient spirit, can set an inspiring example for the world. Our work is guided by the conviction that everyone has a part to play in creating a more sustainable, equitable future. By leading with empathy, courage, and determination, we aim to inspire others to join us on this journey.

Step into our world of environmental care, where nature takes center stage. Explore projects dedicated to restoring rivers, understanding the importance of transhumance (the seasonal movement of livestock), and protecting the delicate balance within our ecosystems. Here, you’ll gain insights into the work we’ve done and discover our plans for even more meaningful, nature-focused interventions.
Knowledge is the key to lasting change. In this section, we share educational programs developed with partners like River Cleanup, along with environmental workshops, school presentations, and training sessions on climate change, sustainability, and more. Whether you’re a student, teacher, or lifelong learner, here you’ll find tools and resources to inspire new generations of caretakers for the planet.

Latest Research - Farmers' Attitude, Knowledge, and Awareness

Plant Protection Products (PPPs) play a vital role in food security but pose risks to farmer health, food safety, and the environment. A survey in Albania’s Semani catchment revealed that many farmers have only moderate knowledge and risk awareness regarding PPPs. Findings showed that education and experience significantly influence farmers’ attitudes toward PPP use. The study underscores the need for awareness programs to promote safer practices in PPP application.
